Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation w Grecji zaprasza na zagraniczne staże

I would like to share some information with your group regarding an opportunity that may be beneficial to your students/members interested in gaining experience in marine conservation.

We are currently offering on-site and remote internship opportunities at Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation in Greece. Undergraduate and postgraduate students can apply for an internship experience in the field of Applied Marine Conservation, with the objective of further developing their knowledge using practical work and hands-on field research and conservation projects.

We are currently based on the island of Lipsi, Greece, which has remained COVID-free, allowing the Archipelagos team to continue our vital conservation work. Despite the ongoing lockdown, a limited number of interns can still join us on-site with all necessary safety measures being respected.

Students who are unable to travel can also gain experience via our remote internships, which will provide experience in project planning, scientific writing and data processing.

Both types of internships also aim to develop leadership and role model skills for participants to gain a variety of useful key skills that are vital to a career in environmental research and conservation. Costs associated can normally be covered for by Erasmus+ fundings, universities studentships or any other equivalent programmes, but we also accept self-funded positions.

We would appreciate it if you could share this information to your students and we are very open to discuss this with you in further detail.

For any further information you might need, please do not hesitate to contact me at l.macrina@archipelago.gr

Sincerely,
Laura Macrina
